Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail
Ride the
Built on the historic 1890s CP Rail line originally part of the Shuswap and Okanagan (S&O) Railway. The line was established to connect the regions with daily passenger service evolving to freight transportation. Decommissioning the line finished in 2014. Rail Trail construction started in 2023 and is ongoing. When complete, the trail will be just over 50 km in length.
Historic railway
The Bruhn Bridge construction was no road block for the City of Sicamous . A FREE ferry to cross the narrows and trasport bikes
and riders to the rail trail in 2025 and was a huge hit. The ferry will be operating again this year.
Pick is every 20 minutes at the Martin Street boat launch and the 0.5 kilometre mark of the rail trail. 12 passengers. Leashed pets are allowed.
The City of Sicamous ferry to SNORT
The trail is well marked.
You will be guided by signs along the 14 km stretch with markers every Kilometer.

The Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail provides opportunities to work together promoting communication and strengthening relationships between the communities up and down the corridor and nearby residents.
